There are times
when I just want to smack
team members
who should know better
* breathe *
It’s tough
to maintain positive outlook
and be an example
yet
it’s possible.
Just brainwash myself
that everyone’s here
on their personal journey
to become a better person.

Sometimes, we forget what we’ve learnt and done. Interviewers may assume that job seekers still remember and “maintain” the standards.
When the new employee can’t perform up to the standard as listed in the resume, the company can actually fire the employee on the grounds that the employee lied in the resume. Once the employee is caught with adding spice & salt (and other tastes), it’s harder for the employer to trust the employee.
Sure, job seekers may think that’s how they got a job & good perks. If they take proactive steps to learn to be up to and reach the standard in the resume in time, that’s fine. If not, it’s seriously going to affect the performance review (and salary increment).
It’s better to be honest – so that you can evaluate the job & the company/interviewer knows if you are going to fit like a glove for the job. At least if you don’t get the job after the interview, you’ll have another interview experience, learnt more about the company and the industry, know which job task you would like/not like, etc. It wouldn’t be wasted, being honest.
